A few more rule clarifications that I can’t seem to source answers for.

When the Leviathan Seed is Wild Magic’d does the specialty effect take place? Is the card placed in their hand and then played? Or just played? If it is just played then the skill does not proc and they take no damage correct?

When the Leviathan Seed is taken in to someone hand at the end of their turn and it’s not the hand of the owner of the card. If this kills them does the owner of the card take the trophy?

When someone dies via an attack from a mayhem, does the trophy change hands? Does the trophy holder lose the trophy until someone is killed by a player? Or does the player who’s turn it is get the trophy as someone died on their turn? Or does the dead player keep the trophy?

Mayhems can be defended against, is it only mayhems that specifically say attack: that can be defended against if can all mayhems be defended against?

Defence cards can be defended against, is this classed as an attack? Can the defence card be defended against if it mirrors the attack? If so, if one of these defence cards leads to a kill does the killer gain the trophy?

Also, is there any chance of a stickied thread of clarified rules? I’m quite happy to go through and collate them all as there’s quite a few clarifications floating around. There’s been plenty of times I’ve wondered on a specific scenario and been unable to source an answer and the question has been forgotten before I’ve got around to posting about it.

It no longer allows me to edit so I’ll post a secondary message.

Bing Ryerson the insurer states to destroy the top 3 cards of the deck and that if any mayhems are destroyed to gain +3 power. Is that per mayhem? I assume not.

Death for lunch states that if you have no dead wizard tokens to gain +power. Are the Dead Ned cards included in this? I feel they would not be included in this case.

The Dead Ned cards state to gain 1 nacho chip for every dead wizard token. Would you gain a nacho chip for your initial placement of a Dead Ned card if you had no dead wizard tokens? As in do you gain a nacho chip for the Dead Ned you are placing?

    1. Leviathan Seed states “when this enters your hand”. Wild Magics play the card, but doesn’t put it in your hand, so it doesn’t proc.

    2. The player “loses” 20 hit points, so they were not dealt damage by the owner of Leviathan Seed, so no trophy for the owner. However, this can be subject to a house rule.

    3. Redirecting with a defense card does not change the attacker, therefore if the attached gets their attack redirected to them, and they die, that would be a self kill and the standee remains with the current owner. One issue that arise with this is that if an attack is redirected to the attacker, and the attacker responds with a defense card that redirects the attack to the attacker…. Well they are redirecting it to themselves…

    4. Bing, says you may play 1, so that means only 1. It’s usually helpful to think what it would say otherwise. If you could pay multiple, it would probably say something like “play any number of mayhems and gain +3 power for each mayhem played this way”.

    5. This one is interesting and I’m surprised I haven’t run into this before. Technically you’re right. I would overrule it with a house rule though.

    6. Yes you would get a chip for playing him. As an ongoing, it enters play before resolving.

I like your idea for consolidating rules. I thought of doing it myself, but couldn’t find a proper place to put it where it can be continuously added to and edited.

I realize that I forgot to answer the questions about mayhems. If someone is killed by a mayhem, the standee is not affected. And yes, only mayhems that say “attack” can be defended against.
