Has anyone here actually managed to make Dating Advertising work in Tier 1 countries without burning through their budget? I kept hearing that US, UK, Canada, and Australia traffic converts well, but my early campaigns told a different story. At first, I thought it was just about increasing bids.

Tier 1 GEOs are competitive, so I assumed higher payouts meant I just needed to spend more. That approach failed fast. My CPC was high, signups were inconsistent, and the ROI was nowhere near what I expected. It felt like I was paying premium prices for average results. What I started noticing was that user intent matters a lot more in these countries. People are more skeptical. Generic creatives did not work for me. When I switched to more localized angles, like references to specific cities or lifestyle vibes, engagement improved.

I also tightened my targeting instead of going broad. Smaller segments, clearer age ranges, and focused interests gave me better data to work with. Another thing that helped was slowing down. Instead of launching big campaigns, I tested small budgets across different ad formats and landing pages. I tracked which headlines pulled real signups, not just clicks.

In Tier 1, clicks are easy to get if you pay enough. Real conversions are the hard part. In my experience, optimizing Dating Advertising for Tier 1 GEOs is less about aggressive scaling and more about careful testing and patience. It is tempting to push hard because payouts look attractive, but careful adjustments made a bigger difference for me than higher bids ever did. Curious if others have had similar results or found a smarter way to approach it.
